I loved this insight into modern ways of understanding the practices of yoga. It was so relevant. For example, I had never heard of the Viking breath before. The idea that yoga can calm the mind as a reprieve from endless stress is added to with the idea that breath-work can strengthen you to face danger with a clear focused mind. This was new to me. The references to scientific research that echoes the value of ancient practices was especially interesting.
